Last Supper Filet - 1st progress Report

Started November 7 2008. Size 10 thread.

TIP: If you are starting the pattern keep safety pins where you are, put a tab so you know which side you started on and what row.

Triangle Prayer Shawl Pattern

This pattern is an easy to intermediate pattern.N hook.2 skeins of 7 oz. Red Heart super saver yarn (728 yds- some do end up using 3 skeins)one safety pin or stitch marker that you can move every other row or so.
Stitches:v-stitch – Dc, chain 1, Dcshell stitch- 5 Dcmiddle shell stitch – 7 Dc
Note: put safety pin in middle shell. Doing this every 3 or so (whatever makes you comfortable) rows so you know when the middle shell is coming up is easier. After I started doing this. I had to frog less often.Keep track of starting and ending stitches. the chain 4 always counts as one dc and one chain one. The dc in turning chain after completes a v stitch for the beginning. to end rows, it should always have a v stitch to end with. The stitches always goes up to the middle shell then repeats backwards for a mirror image of shawl, in a way of a pattern. After row 20, a repeat of 3 different rows will continue to the end.

Tunisian Pocket Prayer cloth (size 3x5)

"i" size tunisian hook.
Worsted weight yarn.

Chain 9. (9 stitches)
Do 2 or 3 rows of basic tunisian stitch.

On 4th row: do 4 tunisian stitches; on 5th you do a tunisian stitch but add chain 3. Then take the chain 3 and slip stitch to vertical bar in same stitch. You then need to single crochet a loop for the top. (so you have a loop at the top like the others) then 4 basic tunisian stitches.

Row 5-8: Do this 4 more times. Ninth row: you do 2 tunisian and then do the tunisian plus chain 3 etc... 5 times and then 2 basic tunisian stitch. <5>

Tenth/Eleventh row: (same as you did on row 4) 4 tunisian stitches; on 5th you do a tunisian stitch but add chain 3. Then take the chain 3 and slip stitch to vertical bar in same stitch. You then need to single crochet a loop for the top. (so you have a loop at the top like the others) then 4 basic tunisian stitches.

Thirteenth and fourteenth row: Then do 2 or 3 rows of basic tunisian stitch. Then I did a half double crochet all the way around.
